About

Hi! Welcome to the daily chronicles of my life! I’m a city girl with a finance degree who married (unknowingly, at the time) a dairy farmer. Although I set out after graduation to conquer the banking world, I ended up in the hard-knocks school of dairy farming and raising a baby. Wow! Not at all what I was expecting. (I’m certain God was having a good chuckle while I was making all my ill-fated corporate plans and buying my BCBG heels and trying to own everything Express ever came out with). But, I couldn’t be happier and I look forward to what the future holds and I thought, Hey, why not write about the transition? So, here ya go! Hope you find it all as amusing as I do!

Meanwhile, if you would like to read the  long story of how I ended up here, click here: http://wp.me/p1lzEK-6l (How I “Unknowingly” Married a Dairy Farmer, Part 1)

Thanks for visiting my blog and looks like you are doing a great job of sharing your dairy story here. Working with dairy cows isn’t one of my strong suits so I always learn something from the posts. Keep it up!

  2. Thank you SOOOOOOOOO much for visiting my blog! Love that dairy maid/cow photo. I wonder if our gravatars are made by the same artist? Anyhoo, enjoy life on the farm. I cannot imagine the early hours a dairy farmer puts in… I’ve heard some stories ;) God bless!

  3. What a great idea for a blog, and I can’t wait to keep up with your story- as I’m the flip side of this story. I grew up on a farm and am now in the middle of the city, with a husband who will never ever be a farmer. Sigh. I am really happy though, so it all works out doesn’t it? -kate

Thank you so much for stopping by! You’re right, it all absolutely works out! Never thought I would be happy in the country, but I am, surprisingly. If I’m where my husband is, I’m happy. He does his best to make it fun. And city life has it’s advantages, don’t ya think?

  4. Did you unknowingly get married? or not know you were marrying a farmer? I’m not sure how you didn’t see either version coming your way…
    Nice blog — good stories.

I unknowingly married a future farmer. He’s the fourth generation of his family to work it. When I married him, he had no interest in taking it over even though he loved working on the farm when he could. A turn of events in our lives was the beginning of him thinking that he might be up for having a go at it after all. Thanks for stopping by!
