My Kitchen Cabinets

Just wanted to show you all my kitchen cabinets that were installed last week. I. Love. Them.

I don’t have my countertops yet, obviously, and the hardware is on its way, so I’ll have pictures later of it totally finished.

My appliances aren’t here yet, either, so the kitchen is currently lacking all functionality.

But, the end is in sight.

Thank you! My husband did all the flooring. I think he’s pretty great. :)

Hi! I just stumbled on your blog today. I love your degisn style! You have literally inspired me to go to degisn school! In the last year, I have found a passion in decorating. I stay up sometimes all hours of the night looking at magazines and searching blogs. Speaking of cabinets, I really want to paint my kitchen cabinets. My walls are a barn red. They were like that when we moved in and I kept them because they were kind of nice and I was pregnant. What color cabinets would go with red walls? Is white the only color? I love love green, but that would look like Christmas! What would you suggest? Thanks!

If you’re set on keeping the red walls, white would look good. I don’t know how much money you’re wanting to put into your kitchen, but I also think a dark, rich wood stain would look good with a barn red (my interpretation of a “barn” red, anyway). However, I might only go with the stain if there was some glass in the doors. That way, it opens it up a little and lets some light reflect. I don’t like for spaces to feel dark. Good luck and happy decision making! :)
